Evie's first Communion

Evie's big day came.  After 2 years of Parish Religous Ed, she was set to make her first Communion.  My mom made her dress out of the train of my wedding dress.  I worked on the veil.  I did convince Evie that this was one of those days that I get to do her hair and she can't complain.  I did figure out just to give her a new book and she would let me do pretty much anything.

Aunt Becky was also sporting a dress she made out of a sari.  Pretty,

With all the primping, Annalise wanted her hair curled too. This is as much curl as Annalise's hair will hold.  Let's hope straight hair stays in style while she is a teenager.

The Seibert cousins came to first Communion.  The girls were all matching and super cutie.  Oliver didn't want to be in a picture with a bunch of girls so he hid inthe background.

Our family.

Evie with her godparents, Uncle Jeff and Aunt Becky.

Me and my goddaughter.  Old Natalie will be making her first Communion next year!

Our pretty little girl.  She is so grown up!

Following the ceremony and pictures, we got down to having a party.  Of course, it was a theme party.  Cinco de Mayo with a sprinkling of Derby day. We didn't want to leave anything out on this important day of celebration.  And the weather agreed nicely for us to enjoy the afternoon outside on the deck.

What's a first Communion without a pinata???

Aunt Becky and I even rolled out our saris to show off to the family members that haven't seen them yet.

Grandpa and his 5 year old babies.

Mrs. Monger stopped by for the festivities with her family. She and Mr. Monger were troopers as they ran the Mini that morning!

Yay for Evie!

And the pretty  and delicous cake that Mrs. Perfetti made.
