Helen, GA, Day 3

Our vacation adventure continued in Helen GA with a tour of the local Chocolate shop.  Check out  these solid chocolate footballs that you could take home in your basket!

I don't know what this guy was so excited about but it must have been candy.  I mean, a place where you can get free samples?  Awesome.  We also got a book called Candy Making for Dummies (signed by the author) and a goodie bag of candy!  This was included with our Groupon with the hotel. Totally worth it!

What kind of parents bring their kids into a candy shop with free samples?  I guess that's us now.

Outside, we found Uncle Bran and JoJo wandering around (a baby like Jo doesn't get so excited about strawberries getting dipped in chocolate).   Aunt Becky opend up some of her candy to share with the kiddos.
This is the heart of Helen GA.  Seriously.  I don't think towns in Germany look this German.  It was two blocks of German fun.

While walking around, we spotted this van.  Huh?

Uncle Bran is so stong.

Henry, Evie and I went off looking for the visitor center while the rest of the crew played on this playground.

What a cute kid.

and our pretty little girls. We have a screen saver on the computer that does a slide show of all our pictures.  We see lots of little baby pictures of the girls.  Man, that went by fast, just like everyone said it would.

Henro is growing up too!

I tried to sneak away on the banks of the Chatahoochie to read the Hunger games, but people kept on bothering me.

Later, we loaded up the cars and went panning for gems!  We found countless priceless specimens in our 3 gallon bucket of rock.

The tallers really wanted to go hiking. We found a trail in the national forest that was paved, 1/2  mile long and ended at a double waterfall.  What they didn't tell us was that the grade was about 30% and there were no guardrails to prevent babies from tumbling down steep ravines.  This was a little more stressful for those of the family who have trouble walking in a straight line (Jo)

The Ruby-Anna Falls.  It was quite lovely and worth the hike.

Another great day of spring break in the books!
